Inspired by the New Forest

Bring a piece of Britain's most beautiful national park into your everyday wardrobe.

Brice Stratford, The New Forest Folklorist and Chair of the New Forest Cultural Council, describes the elements in the flag design:

"The stag’s head depicted in the flag is a monarch stag – with 16 points on its antlers – as a monarch famously died here, and above it is the Rufus stirrup, through which hangs Cob's arrow, which killed both Rufus and the Bisterne dragon. The colours are Forest green and gold, which match the verderers’ uniforms, and reflect the distinctive Forest gorse.”

He encourages “any and all” to use the flag, adding “for avoidance of doubt there is no copyright over it – the flag fully belongs to everyone.” It is also officially recognised by the UK Flag Institute.
